Module content
Lectures:

Getting to know the technology for producing fuels from biomass. A detailed discussion of unit processes included in the structure of the entire production process. Rules for selection of equipment for selected processes. Basis of design processes of biomass utilization. A detailed discussion of the design principles of complete plants for the production of biomass-based fuels. Rules of selection of biomass types for fuels production.

Seminar classes:

Classes include detailed rules for the design of design of fuel production from biomass. Introduction to the creation of the construction of a business plan. Sample Design of the plant biomass fuel production. Examples of proper selection of equipment to selected input parameters of the technological process. Discussion of rules for choosing the best solution for the project. Individual project of biomass installation for fuel production.

Method of calculating the final grade:

Assessment will be issued on the basis of an individual project and passed a test of knowledge from lecture. Final rating is 60% of the assessment of the project and 40% of the test.
