    - Basic idea of sustainable production and consumption
    - Type and method of management of industrial waste
    – Significance of material consumption, waste hierarchy, 6R concept, economic
    symbiosis in country and organization strategies
    - Impact of recycling on the environment

  2. Circular economy

    - Basic concepts and CE business models
    - The role of CE in the policy and strategy of the EU and other countries, including China
    – tools and instruments supporting the transformation towards CE and the price of the benefits of transformation towards CE

  3. Polish and EU legislation and regulation and tools supporting green business

    - Evolution of environmental regulations in the EU
    - Impact on environmental requirement on investment decision
    - Tools for promoting eco-friendly projects

  4. Environmental management

    - Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
    - ISO and EMAS
    - Product Environmental Footprint

  5. Business in recycling - Environmental and economical accounting business in waste management system

    - Value creation for sustainability-oriented innovations: challenges and supporting methods
    - New socio-ecological models and sustainability management in the areas of circular economy and climate change mitigation
    - Environmental marketing of enterprises
    - Determinants of running a business in EU countries; – analysis and evaluation of economic instruments stimulating the pro-ecological activity of business entities IoT and business models in CE

Workshops (14h):

1. The impact of CSB on companies – practical exercises will allow the student to see the impact of Competitive Sustainable Business on its competitive position on the market, workplace and local community.
2. Identification of necessary changes – the student will be mobilized for creative thinking. The student’s task will be to identify the necessary changes in the company.
3. Project: Enterprise development towards CSB – based on lectures and exercises, the student’s task will be to prepare a development project for any company to become a Competitively sustainable company.

Teaching methods and techniques:
  • Lectures: Treści prezentowane na wykładzie są przekazywane w formie prezentacji multimedialnej w połączeniu z klasycznym wykładem tablicowym wzbogaconymi o pokazy odnoszące się do prezentowanych zagadnień.
  • Workshops: Podczas zajęć audytoryjnych studenci na tablicy rozwiązują zadane wcześniej problemy. Prowadzący na bieżąco dokonuje stosowanych wyjaśnień i moderuje dyskusję z grupą nad danym problemem.
Warunki i sposób zaliczenia poszczególnych form zajęć, w tym zasady zaliczeń poprawkowych, a także warunki dopuszczenia do egzaminu:

    – Attendance is mandatory: Yes
    – Participation rules in classes: Studenci przystępując do ćwiczeń są zobowiązani do przygotowania się w zakresie wskazanym każdorazowo przez prowadzącego (np. w formie zestawów zadań). Ocena pracy studenta może bazować na wypowiedziach ustnych lub pisemnych w formie kolokwium, co zgodnie z regulaminem studiów AGH przekłada się na ocenę końcową z tej formy zajęć.
Method of calculating the final grade:

1. Ratings:
- improvement of the unsatisfactory grade is possible twice;
- assessment of passing, in the case of receiving a negative assessment in the statutory period, is calculated as an arithmetic average.

2. The final grade from the module is calculated on the basis of a positive summary summarizing the exercises (60%) and a positive grade from the test (40%). The summary assessment of the exercises is calculated on the basis of the project and activity during the class.

In the case of absence from classes, the decision on the possibility and form of supplementing the arrears belongs to the teacher, subject to the provisions resulting from the Study Regulations.
