1. Intellectual property types (copyrights, patents, trademarks, and trade secrets)
2. Patentability requirements (novelty, usefulness, and non-obviousness of invention)
3. Preparing patent applications
4. Patent applications in foreign countries
5. Claims and scope of protection of inventions
6. Fundamentals of copyright law for scientists
7. Plagiarism and self-plagiarism
